Good News! LVTC's Students Won the First Prize in the XR Innovative Application Development of Guangxi Collegiate Artificial Intelligence Design Competition

From News Center (Text by School of Electronic Information Engineering, Li Chuang; Photo by School of Electronic Information Engineering, Xie Sichen, Luo Yin) On November 20, 2022, the XR Innovative Application Development (Final) of the 4th Guangxi Collegiate Artificial Intelligence Design Competition was held at LVTC, and the on-site review was conducted by the judges in Room 607, Jingze Building, Shewan Campus. The competition attracted a total of 40 teams from colleges and universities in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, including Liuzhou Vocational & Technical College, Guangxi University of Science and Technology, and Wuzhou University. The XR Innovative Application Development (Final) of Guangxi Collegiate Artificial Intelligence Design Competition was held in the form of online defense by the contestants + on-site review by the judges. The works of LVTC's students, including "The Battle at Lake Changjin", "Vast Survival" and "Fire Drill Simulation", won the first prize, second prize and third prize, respectively.
The competition was sponsored by the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, organized by Guangxi Teaching Instruction Committee of Electronic Information Industry Vocational Education, undertaken by Guilin University of Electronic Technology, Guangxi Teaching Guidance Committee for Computer Majors of Undergraduate Universities, and Guangxi Association for Artificial, and technically supported by Shenzhen Hiwonder Technology Co., Ltd., Boya Gongdao (Beijing) Robot Technology Co., Ltd., Shanghai Graphic Design Information Co., Ltd., Beijing Simple Education Technology Co., Ltd. (SimpleEdu), Transwarp Technology (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Guilin Zhongdian Guangxin Technology Co., Ltd. and Guilin Huazhi Information Technology Co., Ltd.
The competition has been held since 2019. Its purpose is to popularize the knowledge of intelligent science and technology, improve students' ability to solve problems with intelligent science and technology and theory, foster students' awareness of innovation and teamwork, create conditions for the selection and recommendation of outstanding professional talents in intelligent science and technology, and promote the teaching practice reform of intelligence and related disciplines in colleges and universities and the cultivation of students' practical ability. The competition is of great significance to popularize the scientific knowledge of artificial intelligence, train and demonstrate the ability of students from colleges and universities in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region to solve problems with scientific technology and theory of artificial intelligence, improve their comprehensive design ability, foster their awareness of innovation and teamwork, and promote the teaching practice reform of artificial intelligence and related disciplines in colleges and universities and the cultivation of students' practical ability.
